Dr. Beckham was born in Iowa and grew up in Park Forest, a suburb just south of Chicago. He loved growing up in the Chicago area. His best friends to this day, in fact, are the “kids” he grew up with.

Chicago provided a lot of opportunities for varied work experiences. While in high school and college Dr. Beckham had jobs ranging from a textile press operator in a diaper factory to a salvage grinder at a crankshaft plant.

Mike attended Valparaiso University for one year before transferring to the University of Arizona to finish his undergraduate work. He then graduated from Dental School at the University of Illinois in Chicago in 1981 and received an outstanding achievement award. Dr. Beckham practiced in Kankakee Illinois for a short time before moving to Phoenix in 1982.

Mike truly loves dentistry. In his twenty two years of private practice, he has taken countless hours of continuing education which has allowed him and his staff to deliver superior patient care in all areas of general dentistry including orthodontics, endodontics, implants and TMJ treatment.

The blessing of Dr. Beckham’s life is his family. He and Renee just enjoyed their eight-year anniversary. They have two wonderful sons ages seven and thirteen. The other members of the family include two dogs, 3 desert tortoises, one lizard and two parrots. The weekends are filled with many family activities including biking, camping, and hiking.
